The lessor undertakes to reimburse the deposit paid by the lessee in the event of force majeure.
On the other hand, tenants certify that they are aware of the vaccination obligations or not that may limit access to Guadeloupe territory. Thus, no reimbursement can be considered if an overriding reason or restrictive decision is imposed by the government on unvaccinated people in the event of non-vaccination.
A case of force majeure is defined for example as the cases below:
- If the lessee is unable to go to the location of the rental due to the regulatory provisions put in place by the State related to the fight against Covid 19 specified here: confinement in his region or on the islands of Guadeloupe or isolation before taking the plane because tested covid + in the preliminary test before taking the plane (on supporting document provided).
- If the policyholder faces one of the following situations: serious illness or death of one of the participants in the stay or of their relatives, medical reason preventing travel, professional obligation on presentation of proof
This clause does not apply, however, to other grounds for impediment that the lessee could invoke as a personal concern or even closed beaches and / or restaurants (without confinement).
In these cases, the lessee makes the personal choice to no longer come to stay in Guadeloupe in the villa and will therefore not receive any refund.
