In a magnificent environment and living environment, "Le Gargantua" is located between Chinon and Saumur, very close to the Fontevraud Abbey.
This outbuilding of the Château des Coudreaux offers excellent comfort with elegant decoration.
On the ground floor you will find a large and welcoming dining room and a fitted kitchen, as well as a PMR bedroom with its shower room/WC.
Upstairs, a comfortable living room will delight you in a peaceful and serene atmosphere, as well as 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms with separate toilets.
An evening of “Fouées” (local specialty) pizzas cooked in the bread oven (present in the gîte) is offered.
Pieter will be happy to help you start up the oven, provide the bread dough (3kg free), you just need to bring what you need to prepare it (rillettes, goat cheese, etc.)
On your way to the playground (ping-pong, badminton), you will appreciate the Alpacas and the aviary where crowned cranes and ornamental birds mingle harmoniously.
Workshops offered: kite flying, approaching Alpacas, etc.
Opening of shared HEATED POOL 7 x 4 m: 04/26 to 10/05.
The parking lot, children's swing and the pétanque ground are reserved for this gîte.
The Gargantua is ideally located for exploring the “Loire à vélo” and its surroundings.

"bon sejour"
ce gite est parfait pour une fete familiale. Composée seulement d adultes nous avons passe un très agréable séjour. La surface habitable ainsi que le terrain de boule , la piscine et le barbecue ont enchante nos soirees

"Un ensemble incroyable, dans un écrin chaleureux"
Nous avons passé 3 jours avec 9 couples de copains pd l'ascension. Ce séjour a été un délice sur les champs, tant de l'accueil courtois et sincère de Valérie et Pieter, que du site qui présente tout ce dont nous avons besoins pour 3 jours de repos. La qualité des installations est de haut niveau, et les équipements nombreux sont bien dimensionnés pour un grand groupe. Sans oublier les cerises sur les gâteaux, avec cette piscine chauffée, ce terrain de pétanque, la capacité à manger dehors, et le clou du spectacle : la réalisation des fouées sous la vigilance de Peiter, adorable et parfait en maître de cuisine. Tout ça dans un secteur riche en histoire, avec Rabelais en prime. Venez-y en fermant les yeux, vous serez subjugués. Brigitte et Eric
