Gite La Montagne - Le Cœur du Moulin

In the beautiful rolling French farmland of Allier, you'll find surprising views and authentic French scenes around every bend. We do our shopping in the picturesque village of Bourbon l'Archambault, 11 km away. Or quickly to the Ygrande bakery for a baguette or a croissant 6 km away.

The Allier department is a wonderful region for walking, cycling and water. Something for everyone: MTB / sport bike or a leisurely bike ride. Long distance walks or a walk in the countryside and along the lake. Swimming in a local lake, in our swimming pool or in the Allier river where you can also go canoeing. You can fish in the large pond next to our house. Are you looking for history, culture, a wine cellar where you can taste delicious French wines or a cheese farm? Old towns with flea markets, churches, castles and beautiful terraces. The towns of Clermont-Ferrand, Vichy and Bourges lie in different wind directions about an hour's drive away. Closer are the small but beautiful towns of Moulins-sur-Allier and Montluçon.
There are also two theme parks nearby, Vulcania for the older ones and Le Pal for the younger ones, combined with a zoo.

The gîte "la Montagne" is a holiday apartment that can accommodate up to 7 people. This super long apartment, about 20 meters, covers the entire floor. Here is also a living room with open kitchen and a sofa bed for 2 people and a trundle bed. One of the two bedrooms has a double bed and the other bedroom has two single beds. So everyone has their place. Adjoining the living room, the shower with WC.
In the large green garden there is a swimming pool of 7.5 x 3.5 meters and a pool for the little ones. There are also various picnic tables and seats.
