Gîte "La Galinette Provençale"

On the A8 motorway, take exit 13 Le Cannet-des-Maures. Vidauban is 8 km from this exit towards Nice. Cross the village of Vidauban, at the only traffic light, turn right. You are on Boulevard des Vallons. The road will go up for about 1 km, as soon as the road begins to descend after a bend, the gîte La Galinette "is on your right.

The rental cottage is located in Vidauban, in a quiet residential area, close to the hills and about 1 km from the center of this village in the Var hinterland. Its population is around 10,000 inhabitants. Very well placed geographically not far from the sea and the mountain ranges of the region.
It is 25 km from Saint-Tropez, Fréjus, Sainte-Maxime, 40 km from the Gorges du Verdon and 10 km from the Thoronet abbey.

The house is built on 2 levels in completely closed ground, and has 2 distinct apartments, on 2 levels, each apartment having its own garden and an independent entrance. The lower apartment is occupied by the owner. The gardens communicate by a staircase.

The entrance to the gîte gives direct access to its private garden with parking for car, barbecue, dining area under a shaded arbor and pétanque area. By the external staircase, the garden offers on the terraces small shaded spaces with garden furniture and armchairs for reading or resting.

The fully renovated apartment of 80 m² is on one level, air-conditioned and with mosquito nets. It consists :
- an entrance hall with wall-mounted dressing room
- a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine and a dining area with extendable table
- a living room with bench, television and wifi access
- a 1st bedroom with a 90x190 bed
- a 2nd bedroom with 150x200 bed, possibility of adding a baby cot
- a 3rd bedroom with a 140x190 bed
- a small bathroom with sink and shower
- a bathroom with corner bath and washbasin
- and a separate toilet.

By the external staircase one goes down to the garden of the bottom.
The swimming pool is secure, its entrance is closed by a gate. Beautiful swimming pool of 9m x 5m. The depth of the pool is 1.30m on one half and 2.20m on the other half. The pool area is furnished with deckchairs and parasols.
A children's play area with hut and swings adjoins the swimming pool. Young children can only access this part of the garden when accompanied by adults.
The swimming pool is at your disposal from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. It is open from June 1 to September 30.

Vidauban is a small Provencal village with its local shops, its shopping center, its restaurants, its leisure center (acrobranch course and canoe / kayak base), its cooperative wine cellar and its Sunday morning market.

Vidauban is 7 minutes from exit 13 of Cannet-des-Maures of the A8 motorway.
Les Arcs-sur-Argens TGV train station is 5 km away.
The village is 35 km from the sea and the beaches, not far from Toulon, near the major seaside resorts of the Côte d'Azur (Sainte Maxime, Saint Raphaël, Saint Tropez and further on Cannes and Nice).
Hikes or simple walks on the customs path along the seaside will be the subject of one of your outings.
The Gorges du Verdon, 40 km away, allow a beautiful getaway in a fabulous setting with a ride in pedalos or boat.
A visit to the tortoise village in Carnoules will delight young and old.

In the surroundings you can discover typical Provencal villages in our Var hinterland such as:
- The medieval village of Arcs-sur-Argens 5 kms away with its flea market every Saturday morning.
- Lorgues and its popular Provencal market every Tuesday morning.
- Le Thoronet internationally renowned for the exceptional acoustics of its Cystercian abbey
- The village of Tourtour perched in the sky.
- Salerno and its faience.
- Villecroze, its waterfall and its troglodyte site.
