Welcome to the Gîte de l'Ecole in Opme - Clermont-Ferrand, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.

Zélie, Guillaume and Joran are happy to welcome you to the old Opme school, renovated and tastefully transformed into a gîte.

Located 15 minutes from the city center of Clermont-Ferrand, 10 minutes from the Grande Halle and the Zenith d'Auvergne, 5 minutes from the Artenium de Ceyrat and 20 minutes from Vulcania "European Park of Volcanism", the pretty village of Opme is close to the chain of Puys classified with the world heritage of UNESCO and its natural sites (the plateau of Gergovie, the Puy-de-Dôme, the lakes, the forests...).

Comfortable, quiet, carefully restored, exposed stones, wood, ecological insulation, this dwelling can accommodate 6 to 8 people (classification in progress from 3 to 4 ****). This house is made up of a large living room with its office area (TV, Wifi, etc.). Two sofas including one convertible, wood stove, dining room with fitted kitchen, bathroom with two showers, WC. (towels not provided)

You will enjoy a magnificent view of the surrounding countryside and the Château d'Opme and its gardens (its primitive construction dates from the end of the 11th century, visit recommended).

Reservation of two nights minimum. Prices are established according to the period and the number of nights.

Exposed in a preserved environment, hikers and mountain bikers, you will not miss paths in the chain of puys, to discover its 80 volcanoes, without forgetting the chain of Sancy, further south. Beautiful days and splendid panoramas await you. On site, we organize à la carte outings, if you wish.

Climbers, climbing spots are available nearby: in Ceyrat or Saurier, the Roche Tuilière, the Dent de la Rancune, the Crête de Coq, in the Massif du Sancy or at the gym. B'UP climbing in the Brézet area (15 minutes from the gîte).

Skiers, cross-country skiers or snowshoe enthusiasts, discover the snow-covered massifs of Mont-Dore and Super-Besse. These resorts offer you (in winter) a ski area with several kilometers of slopes. You can practice ski touring off-piste with the possibility of hiring a mountain guide.

Paragliders. There are several take-off sites, Corent, Saint-Sandoux and the best known 20 minutes from the gîte, Puy-de-Dôme. The panoramic train will take you to the summit to discover all the beauty of the volcanoes at 360°, without forgetting the sumptuous sunsets. You want to explore the surroundings, Puy de Sancy, Puy de la Tache, Puy de l'Angle, Roc de Cuzeau, Puy de Paillaret, Puy Ferrand... you can fly on site and for those who want to go cross country, a shuttle will pick you up at the place of your choice.

Lovers of emotions, thrills, go rafting or canoeing down the Allier gorges, alone or accompanied by professionals. You will find courses adapted to your physical condition.

Fishermen, enthusiasts, beginners, the Allier, the Sioule, the Lac du Guéry (mountain lake where you practice ice fishing or also called hole fishing), the Lac d' Aydat… offer you superb fishing and relaxation potential at the water's edge.

Adventurers, with friends or family, choose from many tree climbing courses or adventure courses in Puy-de-Sancy, Murol, Aydat, Charade or Lezoux... adapted to the levels of children and adults. adults.
