Alaskan : gîte de haute montagne

Hello and welcome to Gîte "L'ALASKAN"!
In a beautiful mountain house, a refurbished gîte is furnished to accommodate 6 people.
It is composed as follows:
- the living-dining room has a sofa bed which, when unfolding, offers a double bed on a real mattress for comfortable nights, a TV where NETFLIX is available, a pellet stove for gentle and pleasant warmth; the kitchen is very well equipped, to allow you to feel at home
- a large, pleasant and bright bedroom, with 1 double bed, 1 bunk bed with 2 single places, a large wardrobe including a wardrobe side, a pretty mirror
- the shower room is also spacious and bright, with modern shower, vanity unit, large closet, lots of storage

You can enjoy a beautiful wooden terrace for lunch, barbecue, reading or other …

A grocery store is located a few steps from the house and offers local products as well as fresh bread every day!
SKI STATION: Vars = 15 min, Sainte-Anne-la-Condamine = 25 min, Pra-Loup: 35 min, Barcelonnette: 25 min.
It is located in the Haute-Vallée de l'Ubaye, at the foot of the Chambeyron massif and in the heart of Saint-Paul-sur-Ubaye, the highest village in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence.
Surrounded by peaks and rocky teeth, dominated by the Aiguilles du Chambeyron (3,312 m) and the monumental Brec du Chambeyron (3,389 m), Saint-Paul-sur-Ubaye offers you a majestic setting in all seasons.
In winter, the Nordic area of Saint-Paul-Haute-Ubaye offers the choice between many activities: 18 km of cross-country ski trails, snowshoeing and snow walking, or dog sledding.
Let yourself be charmed by this snowy natural setting, lulled by the murmur of the Ubaye River.

To satisfy the most intrepid, the ski resorts of Vars (13 km) and Sainte-Anne-la-Condamine (16 km) offer generous ski areas and various activities.

During the other seasons, come and discover grandiose landscapes, thanks to the many hiking routes (GR5, GR6, GR56, Tour de l'Ubaye and several PRs) starting from Saint-Paul-sur-Ubaye.
In summer, the Plan d'eau de Siguret, in Jausiers, will delight young and old alike with its water games (water ski lift, beach, etc.) and games (tree climbing, climbing, tennis, etc.)
