The East Wing is a fully self-contained, well-insulated gite with private entrances.
On the ground floor there is a large American kitchen, a dining area and a living room area.
The kitchen is fully equipped with washing machine, dishwasher and fridge-freezer. The living room is comfortably furnished with sofas, armchairs, and a dining table with chairs.
It is dominated by an open stone fireplace.
A stereo is also provided.
Double patio doors lead to a private patio with outdoor furniture and a barbecue. Upstairs, the two bedrooms are tastefully furnished; one has a king size bed, while the other has two single beds. Please specify if you require child bed and/or high chair. The bathroom is fitted with a corner bath with an enclosed shower, and a gray granite sink housed in an antique cabinet.
There is also a separate toilet and sink. The East wing is available for rental separately or in combination with the Cottage and / or West wings for large groups (max. 14 people) Additional price info and offers: Available except Jan 1 - May 2 and Nov 1 - Dec31. A 15% deposit is required to secure a booking, with the balance payable eight weeks prior to arrival.
Linen and bath towels are provided.
Rental is normally weekly, Saturday to Saturday, except outside high and peak seasons when other times can be arranged.
A small local taxe de sejour per person per night will be collected by Gites.com (children under 18 are exempt) and a returnable security/damage deposit of €100 will be collected on arrival.

La Prade is situated just two kilometres from the village of Villasavary, close to Castelnaudary in the historic Aude region of Languedoc-Roussillon. Villasavary has a butcher, a baker, a general store, pharmacy and post office to cover everyday needs. Castelnaudary, a ten-minute drive away, has numerous banks, supermarkets, shops, bars and restaurants. Even closer at hand are the Roman market town of Bram, and the historic town of Fanjeaux, site of the home of St. Dominique, founder of the Dominican order of monks.
Perhaps the most famous landmark in the region is the beautifully restored medieval city of Carcassonne – a Unesco World Heritage site, which is only 25 minutes east of La Prade. Carcasonne's magnificent ramparts and 42 towers guard the main Château de Comtal; beneath is a maze of small cobbled streets with numerous restaurants and little shops.
It's just a 20-minute drive to the delightful medieval ‘bastide’ town of Mirepoix, with its 15th century ‘couverts’ (covered arcades). The whole region of Languedoc-Roussillon is steeped in history, from the time of the Roman occupation to the turbulent era of the medieval Cathar heresy.The countryside is dotted with les châteaux du Pays Cathare - magnificent ruined fortresses, perched on sheer rocky outcrops. Lastours, Montsegur and Peyrepertuse are three of the most majestic, and are well worth exploring. There are also numerous beautiful restored abbeys to visit, including Fontfroide, St Papoul, and Lagrasse.
Within an hour's drive westward is the largest collection of works in the world by Toulouse-Lautrec, housed at the museum named after him in Albi, close to Toulouse. There are excellent Mediterranean beaches just 50 minutes away at Narbonne and Leucate and there are also a number of lakes nearby, such as Lac Saint Ferreol, which has a beach, good swimming, and good walking trails through the woods.

Prachtige complete cottage in een mooi park met een indrukwekkende natuur.
Andrew is een vriendelijke en toegankelijke gastheer.
In de omgeving is zeer veel te beleven; natuur, kastelen, plaatsen, markten

Heel erg bedankt voor het heerlijke verblijf op het landgoed. We hebben genoten van de plek, het zwembad, de tennisbaan en de tips voor de uitstapjes in de omgeving. Het appartement en de tuin waren fijn om te zijn. Andrew is een fijne gastheer. We komen graag weer.

Fantastisch verblijf gehad in de Cottage. Het verblijf voldoet aan alle verwachtingen, is zeer comfortabel en sfeervol ingericht. Alles wat je maar kunt bedenken is aanwezig.
Het landgoed is eveneens prachtig en omdat je maar met maximaal 3 andere gezinnen zit lijkt het wel of je een privé landgo...
