The Physicians House, built in the Georgian period, originally formed part of the Duke of Northumberland estate before being sold to a renowned physician Robert Wilson Esq.
MD; who was an instrumental figure, surgeon and writer who helped shape leading changes for workers at the time in Northumberland and the UK in the coal industry.
The house rests in the heart of Alnwick, just 200 metres from the centre of this charming historic market town.
The property holds many original artworks from local artists with some originals and prints available to purchase.
This property enjoys a central location with many bars, restaurants, cafés, shops, and most importantly a 2-minute walk to the famous Alnwick Castle and Gardens.
Enjoy a night at the cinema or some live theatre at the Playhouse a few doors down or some relaxing tunes across the road at the local lounge-bar.

As the evening draws in head into the living room, a cosy space ideal with relaxed seating for more quiet nights in front of the TV or curl up with a favourite book.
If you fancy something a little livelier head down to the lower ground floor to the vault bar with cosy seating.
This room is full of history and character and will hold a lot of stories from the past! Fancy a movie night? On the top floor you will find the cinema room so get the goodies in and take advantage of this fantastic addition which is complete with lounges and an Xbox! Plus, an Atari! When sleep calls, head up to the bedrooms for some well-earned rest, which consist of a master super king, two king size bedrooms, a double bedroom, and a bedroom with bunk beds.

We had a fantastic stay at the Physicians House. House is a great size for large parties. Tastefully decorated, bedrooms are gorgeous. Kitchen well stocked with everything you need and lovely welcome pack on arrival, thank you! Cinema room and bar was a welcome little luxury. Many thanks

What a find! We had such a lovely week in Alnwick. The house is just beautiful and had everything we needed. Lovely restaurants on the doorstep and the cinema room was just brilliant. Wonderful and responsive hosts with a wealth of useful information. Can’t wait to return! Thank you

The house provided plenty of space for our family. It is modern and comfortable and the kids loved the cinema room, that was great entertainment. The beds were comfortable but the Green Room could do with a blackout blind. The location was perfect for us, everything we needed was within walking distance. It is ideally located for driving to the well known tourist places in the area.
