The gîte is adjoining the owners' house. The large rear space - 6 ares of garden - is shared with the owners. Children can play freely there. A swing, small bikes and some games are available. A pond with a few fish adorns the space.
The village of Erckartswiller is surrounded by peaceful forest ; many walks are possible from the cottage.
The Vosges offer vast possibilities for hikes on paths marked out by the Club Vosgien. Hiking maps are available. Marcel will be happy to provide information and suggestions.
Innumerable ruins of fortified castles and strange sandstone formations are discovered at the bend of the paths.
Within a radius of 11 km you will find all the shops, restaurants, swimming pools, tourist offices.
During the summer, local associations, cities and tourist offices offer numerous activities, most of which are free.
Some museums open their doors on the territory including the very beautiful Lalique museum in Wingen sur Moder.
A Jazz festival is held during the first half of August at La Petite Pierre (6 km).
Strasbourg, the European capital, is an hour's drive away.
On request and as far as possible, arrivals can be made every day of the week; the same is true for short stays (prices on request).

By the A4 motorway (Paris Strasbourg), take the exit of Saverne, go towards Bouxwiller, take the direction of La Petite Pierre (D7); at the roundabout in the forest go towards Erckartswiller (D813). At the entrance of the village turn right; the gîte is located on the main street at N°26 about 200m after the communal house. Similarly, if you go through Ingwiller, you should take the direction of La Petite Pierre and turn off at the roundabout in the forest.

"Sejour en famille"
Après avoir passé 6 jours dans ce gîte on pense déjà aux prochaines vacances dans les Vosges.
Tout a été parfait - le calme, la propreté, la gentillesse de nos hôtes, les balades en forêt, les sites touristiques aux alentour.
Pour les enfants il y a plein de choses à faire sur place aussi - balançoire, vélo, ping pong, badminton, simplement courir dans le jardin et découvrir la mare aux poisson et les poules. À 2 min à pied de la maison il y a l'aire de jeu du village - avec terrain de foot, tyroliènne, toboggan.
Je recommande ce gîte à 100%.
