Welcome to Maison Tranquille, “The Tranquil House.” Originally built in 1865, this newly renovated house is nestled amongst the vineyards in Louzac-Saint-André, near the world renowned commune of Cognac in southwestern France. Attractions nearby include the sandy beaches of Royan, the Charente River, Golf du Cognac and the many Cognac Houses in the region. The house itself is set across 2 floors and offers 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, an open-plan living area with a sofa bed, a fully-equipped kitchen and a dining area. Outdoor facilities include a private garden and a swimming pool. Sleeps up to 8 guests. Essentials, linen, towels, TV and WiFi are provided. Parking is available onsite.
Spacious in size, the open-plan living area is flooded with natural daylight thanks to the large French windows. The sitting area is furnished with 3 comfortable sofas, a coffee table and a flat-screen TV. One of the sofas can be converted into a double sofa bed. The adjacent kitchen & dining area is modern in style and fully-equipped. Amenities include a Nespresso machine, a filter coffee machine, a cafetiere, a fridge/freezer, a microwave, a kettle, a toaster, a dishwasher, an electric oven and induction hobs. The dining area can seat up to 8 guests. The room leads out into the private garden and swimming pool area.
The first bedroom is located on the ground floor and is furnished with a king-size bed. This room also offers an en-suite bathroom that is fitted with a walk-in shower, a toilet and a sink. The 3 additional bedrooms are located on the first floor. The second bedroom is furnished with a super-king size bed. This room also offers an en-suite bathroom that is fitted with a walk-in shower, a toilet and a double vanity. The third and fourth bedrooms are each furnished with beds that can either be configured as king-size beds or two singles beds. In addition, the sofa in the living room can be converted into a double sofa bed. The third bathroom is located on the first floor and is fitted with a walk-in shower, a separate bathtub, a toilet and a double vanity. Linen, towels and bathroom essentials are provided.
The house offers a private garden and a swimming pool, accessible via the living room. The garden is equipped with outdoor dining furniture and barbecue facilities, perfect for alfresco dining. The swimming pool is surrounded by sunbeds. The swimming pool is heated from May to September - outside of these months, the pool can be heated upon request at an extra charge of €150 a week.
Guests will have access to the entire house and outdoor facilities, including the private garden and the swimming pool.

We understand you may arrive after a long and tiring journey, so to get your holiday off to a good start we have a welcome pack with some essentials such as bread, butter, cheese, milk, sugar, tea and coffee, not forgetting some local sparkling wine, to help you unwind.
Please note housekeeping is included in the weekly rate and takes place on Saturdays.

Pets are charged at €75 per week.
The house offers central heating radiators and a wood burner on the ground floor, alongside electric radiators in the upstairs bedrooms and heated towel rails in the bathrooms
