You are ideally located for visiting the islands: Madame, Aix, Oléron, Ré; as well as Fort Boyard and all the other Forts.
During your visit to the medieval castle of St Jean d'Angle, you can learn to throw stones with the latest catapults in operation.
You can admire the birds with the LPO by the sea, or in the nature reserves of Rochefort. The Palmyre Zoo is also nearby; as well as several oyster villages.
