Pension Cartref

Just 100 metres from the Unesco Cultural Heritage Fortified Evangelic Church in the former Saxon village of Saschiz, Pension Cartref is set in the historic region of Transylvania. All rooms have free Wi-Fi, a private bathroom with shower and a TV.

Housed in a refurbished Saxon farm dating from 1909, guests can visit the beekeeper and the sheep farm. Guests can use free of charge bicycles upon request and go cycling to other nearby Saxon villages. Horseback riding lessons are offered at the Dracula Complex&Horse riding school, which is 23 km away.

The garden provides direct access to the pine forest behind the property. Coffee, tea, natural fruit juice and drinks can be served in the court's covered terrace, in the old barn.

Guests can enjoy in the Saschiz area and surroundings freshly prepared traditional Saxon and Romanian meals from local, organic products.

Set on the E60 motorway, the property is 18 km away from Sighisoara. The Baile Homorod skiing slopes are 60 km away. Guests can also visit Prince Charles' house and cellar is Viscri, 25 km away, or the Cooking Museum, which is based near the Pension.

Pets are allowed (no extra charge).
Children of all ages are welcome.
Persons 0 years and over stay for 50 € per person per night when sleeping in an available extra bed.
