Please Note: All our units are fully Solar Powered & off the Eskom Electrical Grid and all the units boast having delicious Borehole Water & Free Wi-Fi.
Each night the solar power automatically goes off between 22:00 - 22:30 depending on battery reserves. We request that all guests bring battery powered lights for late nights. The system automatically powers up again around 07:00 or earlier depending on the sun. On over cast days where there is no sun, we can run a generator if needed. We prefer however to try stay away from fossil fuels if possible. So just remember to be as sparing as possible when using the power.
Come talk to us and we can give you a tour on the Solar Power System and show you how it works. :-) The units are also equipped with a terrace, a fully equipped kitchen, a seating area, and a private bathroom. A microwave, a toaster and fridge are also available. All cooking is done on Gas and Gas heaters available at a fee for winter months.
The country house offers a barbecue & Swimming Pool right on the River.
If you would like to discover the area, cycling is possible in the surroundings. We also offer River Rafting & Hiking.
Koppies Dam Nature Reserve is 46 km from Otters' Haunt Eco Retreat, while Otavi Wildlife Sanctuary is 12 km from the property.
