In the heart of a protected natural area, refuge of an amaizing biodiversity but close to all the shops, the Moulin de Chantelle is a place steeped in history(s) in where you will be pleased to organize seminars, thematic meetings or gather family and friends.
Once through the gate, you will be won over by the serenity of the 16th century mill, the comfort and decoration of the interior spaces and the beauty of the river which runs through the land, the meadow and the woods of 8ha in total.
Virginie cultivates a permaculture vegetable garden there which supplies the menus with vegetables, always home-cooked. Other products are from quality artisanal products. Should you wish or require specific diets, let her know and she will be pleased to satisfy your needs.
Frédéric is an organic snail breeder so if you want to get off the beaten track, you will enjoy the specialty of forest snail fricassee (with Chablis and wild mushrooms).
On site, you can choose to be pampered with a massage with essential oils (at the water's edge in summer), in the sauna or simply while enjoying a nap or a good book in one of the many outdoor spaces. Or you may choose to have fun with friends in a tournament organized by Fred, around the pool table, the ping-pong table, in the swimming pool or the river in summer, or with the many board games in the gîte in winter. And for young or old nature lovers, you can go for a walk from the gîte (on foot or by bike), take a short canoe trip or enjoy the many activities in the area: tennis at Chantelle, tree climbing, rail bike... less than 15 minutes by car.
