Located in the village of Vouvray, in the heart of the Loire Valley, Les gîtes troglodytiques de l'Echeneau invite you to enjoy a picturesque stay in a verdant setting that's a complete change of scenery.
As soon as you arrive at the top of the (slightly steep) path, you'll find yourself under the spell of the atypical dwellings nestled into the hillside.
After walking some twenty meters through the magnificent greenery, you come upon two charming troglodyte cottages.
Les troglos de l'Echeneau consists of 2 adjoining refurbished gîtes, which can be rented together or separately.
“L'Enchanteur” (46 m²), with brown doors and windows, comprises a large bedroom with en-suite shower room, a separate toilet, and a large living room (fitted kitchen opening onto lounge), suitable for up to 4 people.
“Le tranquille” (44 m²), an invitation to cocoon, with green doors and windows, living room (kitchen, sitting room, small sitting room), half-timbered bedroom and shower room with separate toilet, ideal for 2 people.
Both combined: 4 to 6 people, surface area 90 m².
The ensemble is completed by a 100 m² hanging garden (make sure you keep a close eye on your children), with garden furniture. You can use this garden to contemplate Vouvray and its surroundings, and to relax in the sun after long walks.
Although the gîte is on one level, the path leading to it is not accessible to people with reduced mobility.
