Laundry Cottage

Originally the laundry building of the Carmichael Estate’s 18th-century mansion house, the 2-bedroom Laundry Cottage in Lanark provides inviting self-catering accommodation. With a 3-star award from Visit Scotland, this pretty stone cottage has free Wi-Fi and on-site parking.

The master bedroom includes a queen-size bed, while the second has twin beds. There is a tiled bathroom with bath and shower.

A lounge and dining room has an open fireplace and a flat-screen TV. The fully fitted kitchen includes a dishwasher, microwave, electric cooker, fridge and freezer.

In South Lanarkshire, Laundry Cottage is around 50 minutes’ drive from central Glasgow, and 1 hour from Dumfries and Edinburgh.

Among local attractions is Tinto Hill, a 707-metre climb, just over 5 miles away. The World Heritage Site of New Lanark, featuring an 18th-century cotton mill village, is less than 7 miles from the cottage.

This cottage is pet friendly and well behaved dogs with their own beds are welcome. The first dog is free of charge and every dog after that is £10 for the duration of the stay.
