La Baronnie Gîtes - Manoir

Welcome to La Baronnie Gîtes, our beautiful Perigourdine manoir and traditional rustic French gîte, each with stunning south-facing views of the Dordogne valley close to the popular tourist sites of Beynac (opens in a new window) (5 mins by car), Chateau de Castelnaud and the Jardin des Marqueyssac (10 mins by car), the historic market town of Sarlat-la-Canèda (15 mins by car) and the prehistoric sites of the Vézère river at Les Eyzies (20 mins by car). St Cyprien is a pretty medieval town with a popular Sunday market. There is a large Carrefour supermarket that caters for the majority of your food shopping needs and it also has a petrol station.

Situated on the Dordogne valley hillside 3km east of St Cyprien, the manoir sleeps six in three bedrooms (two rooms are king-size and the third is configurable as a king-size or twin single beds). The gîte also sleeps up to six in three bedrooms; the second is a double bedroom with en-suite and the third has two single beds. The whole site has free WiFi (including pool and terrace coverage), good mobile phone coverage, TV with free-to-air UK and FR satellite TV channels and BluRay/DVD player. The manoir and gîte are each equipped with a safe in the main bedroom. Each has off-road parking.

Downstairs comprises a large living room with log-burner and fireplace. The large kitchen and diner with inglenook fireplace with classic range cooker, separate oven and dishwasher. Upstairs comprises three bedrooms, the master bedroom with king-size bed, dual aspect views and includes a double-ended bath, wash basin and shower cubicle within the bedroom (toilet separate). Bedroom 2 has a king-size bed with en-suite (shared with bedroom 3) and bedroom 3 can be configured as a king-size or twin single beds.

A hair-dryer is provided in each bedroom. A cot and high-chair and push-chair are available if required. A small safe is provided in bedroom 1. Quality bed linen is provided along with Egyptian cotton M&S fluffy towels. If a change of bed linen or towels is required during the week, a charge may be levied. Stays of more than one week include a change of linen and towels on Saturdays. Beds are made-up prior to your arrival. Beach towels are provided for use around the pool. We also have a separate supply of towels for your use whist canoeing or visiting a river beach available on request. An iron and ironing board are provided.

Our quirky manoir is located on a hillside, there are balconies, steps and the garden is on different levels. Young children should be supervised at all times.
