La Baronnie Gîtes – Gîte

Welcome to La Baronnie Gîtes, our beautiful Perigourdine manoir and traditional rustic French gîte, each with stunning south-facing views of the Dordogne valley close to the popular tourist sites of Beynac (opens in a new window) (5 mins by car), Chateau de Castelnaud and the Jardin des Marqueyssac (10 mins by car), the historic market town of Sarlat-la-Canèda (15 mins by car) and the prehistoric sites of the Vézère river at Les Eyzies (20 mins by car). St Cyprien is a pretty medieval town with a popular Sunday market. There is a large Carrefour supermarket that caters for the majority of your food shopping needs and it also has a petrol station.

Situated on the Dordogne valley hillside 3km east of St Cyprien, the manoir sleeps six in three bedrooms (two rooms are king-size and the third is configurable as a king-size or twin single beds). The gîte also sleeps up to six in three bedrooms; the second is a double bedroom with en-suite and the third has two single beds. The whole site has free WiFi (including pool and terrace coverage), good mobile phone coverage, TV with free-to-air UK and FR satellite TV channels and BluRay/DVD player. The manoir and gîte are each equipped with a safe in the main bedroom. Each has off-road parking.

La Baronnie gîte is a traditional French rustic gîte converted from animal stables and sleeps two to six people in three bedrooms (one with en-suite). The gîte has its own dedicated drive with gates for secure off-road parking.

The lounge has free WiFi, a DVD/Blu-ray player and TV with UK satellite free-to-air channels.

Outside is your own private patio with table, chairs, parasol and large Weber charcoal barbecue.

ownstairs comprises a living room area separated from a large kitchen/diner by traditional feeder stalls. Upstairs comprises three bedrooms (one with en-suite) and a bathroom with shower. Bedroom 1 has a double bed, bedroom 2 has a double bed with en-suite and bedroom 3 has two single beds. Bedrooms 1 and 2 have electric radiators and the bathroom and en-suite each have a heated towel rail.

A hair-dryer is provided in each bedroom. A cot and high-chair and push-chair are available if required. A small safe is provided in bedroom 1.

Quality bed linen is provided along with Egyptian cotton M&S white fluffy towels. If a change of bed linen or towels is required during the week, a charge may be levied. Stays of more than one week include a change of linen and towels on Saturdays. Beds are made-up prior to your arrival.

Beach towels are provided for use around the pool.

We also have a separate supply of towels for your use whist canoeing or visiting a river beach available on request.

An iron and ironing board are provided.

Because the gîte is located on a hillside, there are balconies, steps and the garden is on different levels. Access to the 1st floor of the gîte is by steep stairs and access to the 2nd floor (bedroom 3) is via a spiral staircase. There is a low beam within bedroom 3. The gîte is therefore not recommended for anyone with poor mobility. Young children should be supervised at all times.
