Come off the N10 signposted towards Ruffec Travelling on the D1 towards Civray, take the left turn towards Lizant on to the D104. Follow the road and take the second turning on your left onto La Fragnee. Drive along this road, just before the set of gates at the end of the road there is a large gravels parking area. Journey in May 2025
"UN GITE EN TOUS POINTS CONFORME A NOS ATTENTES"
Our whole family: Jean-Michel, Danielle, Antoine, Caroline, Jonas and the girls Ella, Alix, Nora, as well as the little dog Bobine had an excellent stay in this exceptional gite: the Olivier in La Fragnée on the occasion of the ceremony to award the Legion of Honor to grandfather Yvon, in which our charming hosts Beverley and Tim gave us the pleasure of participating.
When we arrived, the table was set and some small cakes allowed us to satisfy a small hunger after a long journey.
The cottage is really spacious for eight people and particularly well decorated in a “so British” style.
The vast surrounding grounds are also very pleasant and allowed everyone to relax: reading in the garden furniture, playing football or badminton, swinging, but only the slightly cool temperature at the beginning of May prevented us from enjoying the swimming pool!
We will be back!

"Hôtes irréprochables"
A big thank you to Beverley & Tim for their welcome, very available at any time of the day with a little anecdote 😉 last evening the drain under the kitchen lever came loose = nice foot bath 🫣 thanks to Beverley and Tim for their responsiveness….. Tim, it's French plumbing 😜😜😂.

On the other hand, the cottage is very functional, everything you need to have an excellent stay.
Very clean and very tasteful for the decoration.
It is very well located for visiting the 3 neighboring departments.
We plan to return and highly recommend this cottage.
Looking forward to meeting you again.

"Loved our stay!"
This was our first time staying at L’Olivier gîte and we were astounded by the level of comfort and cleanliness. Both Bev and Tim were very friendly and welcoming and helped with suggesting places to visit in the local area as well as making sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The gîte itself is beautiful and full of character and amazing value for the three nights we stayed. We loved it so much that we have already booked again to come back in the summer!

"Great stay!"
This is now my second stay at L’Olivier Gite on my way driving to Spain and I can not rate this enough! Clean, cosy & friendly. The amenities are great and the hosts could not be more accommodating. Just as described and one of the more pleasing places to stay in the area not just basic, beautiful. Would 100% recommend and will be staying again! 5 star stay!

"Magnifique gîte dans un endroit fabuleux"
Very nice cottage in a friendly village with good amenities. The cottage is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Very friendly and accommodating owners.
