Aggsbach-Markt has a beautiful sandy beach on the Danube River for swimming and sunbathing. The train and bus station is a 5-minute walk away and a supermarket can be found just 200 metres from Haus Gerstbauer.
The famous Venus of Willendorf was once found in a village just 2 km away, which is now home to the Venus Museum. The Baroque Melk Abbey and the Jauerling Ski Slope can be reached by car in 10 minutes.
