Gites79 - Gîte des Camélias, 30 min Puy du Fou

Gite des Camélias is a charming and spacious family holiday home on the Deux-Sèvres and Vendée border in western France.

Recently refurbished in 2022, this beautiful holiday home has 4 bedrooms for 8 guests - a master king bedroom with vaulted ceilings and large dressing area, another king bedroom, a twin room and a small double. Plus it has a fantastic family bathroom including both a bath and a walk-in shower.

There is a large sitting and dining room, a games room with huge sofa, billiard table, dartboard and table football, as well as a fully-equipped kitchen with dishwasher and a utility room with washing machine, another sink and a downstairs toilet.

The gite is dog-friendly with a fully-enclosed back garden, garden furniture and its own boules pitch. We can welcome up to 2 medium-large or 3 small dogs upon request.

Gîte des Camélias is only 30 minutes from Puy du Fou theme park and an hour from Futuroscope in Poitiers and the sandy beaches of the west coast.

Gîte des Camélias has the perfect combination of being a rural retreat but with a good selection of local amenities not more than 10 minutes drive away in Moncoutant to the south or Cerizay to the north. It is also located just 75 minutes drive from Nantes, Poitiers or La Rochelle airports and 3.5-4 hours from the ferry ports of St Malo & Caen.

To experience the theme parks and the beautiful beaches, as well as all the other amazing activities the region has to offer, having a car is advisable. Private off-road parking for two cars is directly outside the gîte. If you like to cycle, the renowned La Voie Verte (an extensive car-free cycle route) is just on the doorstep and is great for dog walks too!
