Gite renovated 2022 with view, air conditioning and large garden

The cottage, air-conditioned and renovated in 2022, is located just 5 minutes walk from the city center, on a hill, in a quiet and wooded area. With a beautiful view of Sarlat you can enjoy the most beautiful sunsets.

The gite is located on the first floor of a traditional Périgord house with a tower. Various seating areas (covered) and terraces have been created in the garden. The total surface of the gîte is 80 m².

It is a spacious and modern apartment on the 1st floor of the house.

The large garden has several seating areas, where you can have lunch or relax. There is also a vegetable garden, fruit trees and an adjacent forest. So you can see birds, foxes and deer!

The apartment has 3 spacious bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two single beds, a large living room with a dining table and a sitting area, a complete kitchen with a dishwasher, a a modern bathroom with shower and toilet and a separate toilet.

Parking is free and secure in the garden.

The house is located on a hill, which allows to have a beautiful view of Sarlat. The garden has several seating areas and terraces that can be used freely. There is also a large covered terrace behind the house which can be used.

The gite has its own front door and entrance.

The city center is within walking distance (5 minutes).
Within 1 km of the lodge, there are 70 restaurants. You will also find a bus stop and an SNCF train station (Bordeaux) within walking distance. All amenities including supermarkets, specialty stores but also local markets are in the immediate vicinity.

We don't have a pool, but there is a public pool 3 minutes drive from our house. Admission is €1 for children and €3 for adults.

Last but not least, there is a beautiful beach along the river, surrounded by greenery, 15 minutes away by car. It's worth the detour !

We also have a large "fire pit", which you can use. By law, it is not permitted to use it during the summer months due to the risk of fire. But you can barbecue in the summer.

The slide, the ping-pong table and the Pattak track are not on our land, but right next to it, 100 m away.

About Us :
We are a young family with an almost 3 year old daughter.
In 2021 we decided to leave the Netherlands (Amsterdam) and emigrate to France. We love our new area and enjoy the beautiful surroundings every day.

About Sarlat-la-Canada:
Sarlat-la-Canéda is the most beautiful medieval village in the Dordogne. You can get lost in the small streets of the old center and discover the delicious local gastronomy.
Within 1 km of the lodge are over 70 restaurants and bars.

Sarlat's Saturday market was voted the most beautiful market in France this year! There is also a market every Wednesday and a night market every Thursday evening in summer.

The area is very green and everywhere you will find medieval castles and troglodyte houses.

There's plenty to do here, boredom is not an option.
You can cycle, walk, canoe, climb trees, rock climb, go to the cinema, visit one of the many castles, caves or water parks, or go to one of the gardens of fantastic beauty. Whether you are lying on the beach on the banks of the Dordogne with a book or want to take a helicopter or hot air balloon ride, everything is possible.
And if that's not enough, there's also a fantastic nut and truffle farm.

There are also vide greniers (flea markets) everywhere on Saturdays and Sundays. And if you feel like rolling up your sleeves and you're not afraid to get dirty, you can always come and help in the garden/vegetable garden.

The train station is also nearby. You can take the train there for a day of shopping in Bordeaux.
