The Domaine de "Le Sabatou", whose name comes from its geographical location, testifies to a very old house.
Beginning as a shepherd's caselle, then a farm whose rural dwelling was broken down into specific buildings or an open courtyard: the house, the barn and a farm building, which is finally highlighted as a gîte located in a quiet countryside plain.
After 1989, declaring the Estate with its 15 ha of land, as a nature reserve (with ASPAS), Le Sabatou flourished as a protected nature reserve, free of pesticides and other agricultural chemicals and the land was returned to nature..
After 25 years Le Sabatou has seen the return of an extraordinary abundance of wildflowers, especially orchids and Bach herbal medicines.

This, in turn, spurred the return of bees and a great diversity of insects which sparked the rebirth of a fabulous ecosystem.
We have seen the return of many species of birds including eagles and owls, small animals such as pine marten, hares and foxes.
Today, quiet deer can be seen in the open wildflower meadow around the house. A true paradise for nature lovers and for photographers.
