This house has housed a few artists, the last of which was Vera BRAUN, who set up her studio and lived there until 1998. She bequeathed this house to a couple of her friends, a Swiss-Czech couple who wanted to see us resume their house in 2016.
Renamed "The Painter's Workshop", we have preserved in the state the large living room that served as a workshop in Vera Braun and have arranged the rest of the house in a large holiday home where you can enjoy the large rooms but also a beautiful and spacious quiet garden.

To reach our cottages in Haute-Loire, take the A7 or A46 motorway towards Marseille. Just before Givors, take the A47 towards St-Etienne / Clermont-Ferrand. Before arriving at Saint-Etienne, follow the N88 towards Le Puy en Velay. It is a 2 × 2 way.
Exit at St-Maurice de Lignon, shortly after Monistrol / Loire, follow the signs "Bed and Breakfast La Désirade" or "Bed and Breakfast Les Fermes du Château".
Pass under the National to enter the village; cross straight to the end. A little before leaving the village, the road turns into a chicane: there is a parking space on the right and a small road that descends to the left, direction "Maubourg-Les Yverras" (a large cross marks the crossing). Follow this road for about 1 km (downhill and then back up through the woods).
At the end of the woods, continue for about 300m. At the bottom of a descent, you have a group of stone houses on the left, including ours with a large gate and gray wrought iron gate on your left. You are almost there. You can park in the parking lot in front of the Castle Park (wrought iron gate on stone wall). Good road !

"Excellent!"
Le gîte est vraiment très agréable, à la fois calme et facile d'accès. La maison est rénovée avec goût et parfaitement équipée. Les deux jardins permettent de profiter de l'extérieur à tout moment de la journée. Une excellente adresse pour faire une pause et découvrir la région!
