In Vendée, in Luçon, between sea, bocage and marshes, pretty gite for 4 people.
Gîte adjoining our house but separated by a stone wall guaranteeing everyone's privacy.

On the ground floor: the living room overlooks a small flowered courtyard where barbecue and garden furniture await you. The well-equipped kitchen area opens onto a rattan living room with TV, box and DVD player.
Upstairs: 2 bedrooms of 12 m² with 160 cm beds, dressing rooms, desks-consoles and storage, 1 bathroom with shower, 1 separate WC.

Homemade jams and brioche will delight young and old alike and our 4 hens will provide you, according to their mood, with fresh eggs to eat with confidence.

Cathedral city with a rich heritage, Luçon is part of the history of the Vendée.
The cultural offer and quality events are numerous.
Even if calm is assured, all services are 2 steps from our gîte (bi-weekly market at 600 m), other shops within 1 km, supermarkets between 1.5 and 3 km.

To reach us, by the A83 motorway, exit Sainte-Hermine at 15 km or Luçon train station at 1.5 km.

In terms of activities, the cycle paths, the swimming pool and the tennis courts are very close.
Located 20 minutes from the beaches, 40 minutes from La Rochelle or the Marais poitevin, 1 hour from the unmissable Puy du Fou, our cottage will be the ideal starting point for all your walks.
Several proposals for hiking circuits will allow you to discover, at your own pace, the richness of the fauna and flora of the Vendée.
The Sainte-Gemme-la-Plaine equestrian center (10 km), sailing, surfing and sand yachting schools, a tree climbing course and a water park 30 min away, 2 9-hole golf courses 20 min away and 18 holes at 45 min will satisfy the most athletic.
The proximity of the islands of Charente (Ré, Aix, Oléron) or Vendée (Noirmoutier, Yeu) can be an opportunity for a day trip, inter-island cruises possible.
To cool off on very hot days, boat trips on the Green Venice or walks along the Yon valley will be greatly appreciated. The Dumaine Garden (adjoining the Luçon Town Hall), the Cour d'Aron park and its lotuses (20 mins) and the remarkable Maulévrier oriental garden (1h) will be real havens of peace for strolling or dreaming .

On the heritage side of Luçon of course, but also Fontenay-le-Comte, town of art and history, the abbeys of Maillezais and Nieul-sur-l'Autize, the priory of Grammont, la Chabotterie, the former mining site of Faymoreau , Saint-Laurent-sur-Sèvre, Saint-Michel-Mont-Mercure, the highest point in the Vendée or the pretty village of Vouvant, ranked among the most beautiful villages in France and the list is far from complete.
