Gîte de l'Atelier - gîte de charme 6 p. en forêt de Fontainebleau

Charming cottage at the gates of Barbizon and Fontainebleau in a stone farmhouse type property, completely renovated and decorated using an eco-responsible approach, for a “slow life” stay.

The "Le Grand Gîte" gîte is the combination of our "Master Room" and "Double Twins with terrace" gîtes for lovers of large spaces (110m2 + 35 m2 terrace).
The cleaning is carried out by professionals, the household linen is of quality and is provided (sheets, towels, etc.). For your comfort, hotel-range beds are made upon your arrival; all you have to do is enjoy!

The cottage:
The capacity of the gîte "Le Grand Gîte" is 1 to 6 people plus 2 babies maximum and is composed as follows:

On the 1st floor:
The rooms :
1/ the “master room” suite: atypical, with an area of more than 30m2 with high ceilings and exposed beams, combines:
- sleeping area with hotel-range beds, which can be configured either to accommodate 1 couple or 2 individuals (the 2 90X200 beds separate),
- the flat screen TV living area (Chromecast + TV decoder to connect your multimedia devices to the TV) and sofa,
- and an office area with high-speed wifi (fiber) to be able to telework comfortably. Can also be used as a dressing table.
2/ the "clay" room: approximately 12m2 with chest of drawers and armchair, convertible into a double bed (180X200) or 2 separable single beds (90X200). Hotel range bedding, sober and elegant atmosphere for a couple or 2 individuals.
3/ the "Rose" room: approximately 10m2 with chest of drawers and armchair, convertible into a double bed (160X200) or 2 single beds (80X200) that can be separated. Hotel range bedding, sober and elegant atmosphere for a couple or 2 individuals.

The bathrooms:
1/ Bathroom n°1 “XXL” (with wall-hung toilet) and its “king size” Italian shower. Travertine stone walls and floor, wood and marble vanity unit, bamboo shelves.
2/ Bathroom n°2: with Italian shower. Antique wood and ceramic vanity unit, mix of polished concrete and cement/terrazzo-style tiles.

The landing with storage cabinet leading to a small laundry room where the washing machine is located.

On the ground floor:
A living room of approximately 30m2 including:
- a new and fully equipped open kitchen
- in the living room with flat screen TV and connected “Stick TV” to access more than 1200 TV/radio applications,
- as well as an office area with high-speed wifi (fiber) to be able to telework comfortably.
- Independent wall-hung toilet with hand basin.

Exterior:
A private terrace surrounded by stone walls of approximately 35m2.
Equipped with a dining area, deckchairs, parasol and a Weber charcoal barbecue with accessories.

Completely secure, our services are top of the range. Our lodgings benefit from hotel-quality beds, the provision of quality household linen, new equipment and a Country Chic decoration combining old materials and modern comfort including high-speed WiFi (fiber) with a corner office. Each gîte has its own private exterior, sheltered from view, for enjoying meals outside or relaxing in our deck chairs. A barbecue is also available.
Located 4 minutes by car from Barbizon, 8 minutes from Fontainebleau and 15 minutes from the Grand Parquet, you can park for free and easily on the street. An excellent organic bakery is within walking distance in our hamlet and all shops (food shops, restaurants, pharmacy, museums, art galleries, etc.) are 4 minutes away by car.

- Burgundy is also less than 1 hour away by car, wine and hilly countryside enthusiasts will be in heaven. Why not visit Chablis and its cellars!
