Bocce ball courtTUCHAN, capital of Hautes Corbières, is nestled at the foot of Mount Tauch which rises to 917 m and gives it its name.
Under the benevolent gaze of the ruins of the Aguilar castle, a former royal fortress that protected it from Iberian invasions, the town spreads its prestigious vineyard whose appellations "Fitou" and "Muscat de Rivesaltes" are the jewels.
Places to visit: the Castle of Aguilar, dating from the eleventh century, and the castles located a few kilometers away: Pädern, Quéribus, Peyrepertuse, the Abbey of Fontfroide ... Carcassonne, medieval town, is located 80 km from the village, Perpignan 40 km, Narbonne 50 km, and Spain less than an hour.
Not to mention the Mediterranean coast, the beaches of Barcarès, Leucate, Port-la-Nouvelle ... located less than an hour by car.
The village has all the necessary shops: a bakery, a pharmacy, a butcher, a supermarket, a health house with several doctors, several restaurants and a bank without forgetting our famous wine cellars, our local producers.
A municipal swimming pool is at your disposal.
