1)A remote-controlled thermostat (a Google Nest) controls the gas central heating. The thermostat is located in the hallway, outside the twin bedroom, and is set to a temperature of 20°C. A mains-powered oil-filled radiator is also provided, to top-up the temperature in the sitting room. To set the thermostat temperature higher, please contact the Host: additional hours of central heating will be charged at the unit rate of GBP1.50/hour, which must be paid to the Host in advance.

2)Please do not wear outdoor shoes inside the cottage - but please do pack slippers/warm socks/soft-soled indoor shoes. This is important: to protect the floor tiling and for cleanliness. We pride ourselves on keeping the flooring visibly clean.

3)For fire safety, please keep doors closed at night. Keeping doors closed, especially at night, can help prevent the spread of fire and smoke, giving guests plenty of time to escape.

4) The cottage will be completely cleaned prior to your arrival. However, cleaning and bed-making services are not provided during the course of guest stays (i.e. between check-in and check-out).
