The Chalet du Moulin de Lapeyre welcomes you in a true haven of peace in Saint-Estèphe in the Dordogne, a charming village in the heart of Périgord & the Périgord-Limousin regional park.
Built on the edge of a private 3-hectare pond and surrounded by lush vegetation, this charming fishing lodge will offer you a unique experience in the heart of nature where tranquility, rest and well-being will be the key words.
You will particularly appreciate the 45 m2 terrace which overlooks the pond.

The chalet, with a total surface area of ​​130 m2, can accommodate up to 7 PEOPLE.
Built in wood, with noble materials abounding in Périgord, the cottage has all the necessary equipment in a warm and cozy style.
For even more comfort, each of the 3 bedrooms has their private bathroom.

THE TERRACE:
You will appreciate the 45 m2 open terrace which overlooks the pond and the magnificent play of light from sunrise to sunset.
A large table, chairs and an electric plancha are at your disposal so that you can enjoy great tasting moments.
The terrace also has 2 sun loungers.
You can even fish from the terrace, it's a real pleasure! Or practice your passion in peace from the banks of our private 3 hectare pond!

On the GROUND FLOOR, you will find:
- the open kitchen, fully equipped with fridge-freezer, ceramic hob, dishwasher, filter coffee maker, toaster, microwave, traditional oven, raclette machine,
- A large living room with sofa and television, with a panoramic view of the pond,
- The "Acacia" room with double bedding (140cm) and private bathroom with toilets specially designed for 2 people with reduced mobility,
- A linen room with washing machine, ironing board and drying rack.

UPSTAIRS:
- The "Sequoia" parental bedroom with 160cm (queen size) bedding and private bathroom with separate toilets,
- The "Épicéa" bedroom with 140cm double bedding and private bathroom with toilets,
- A room with 90cm bedding,

An excellent WIFI connection and 3 parking spaces are at your disposal.
For total safety for your children and the escape of your animals, we have installed a wooden barrier all around the chalet.

Please note that we provide bed linen (sheets, duvets, pillows and their covers), bathroom and household linen, cleaning products (paper towel, garbage bags, sponges, toilet paper, washing machine capsules).
Nespresso-type coffee capsules and dishwasher detergent are not included.

ACTIVITIES:

- FISHING
In addition to calm and rest, our chalet is a wonderful FISHING LODGE.
You will find in our private pond of 3 hectares carps, perchs, roachs, black-bass, pikes...
You can fish all year round in peace from the terrace or from the banks of our pond.
In order to preserve this aquatic fauna, fishing is done in "no-kill", releasing each species in the best possible conditions (fishing equipment is not provided).

- HIKES:
By walking the calm paths through the woods all around our pond, you will discover magnificent landscapes and abundant flora.
You can also opt for hiking circuits including the Tour de l'Etang de St Estèphe (4 km), the Forges d'Etouars trail (more than 5 km), the Roc Branlant trail, or the Saut du Chalard….

- GASTRONOMY: Foie Gras, Duck breast, Truffles, Ceps, Bergerac wines ... Périgord is a land of delicacies! The Val de Chanedière, (10 mins away), offers tours of its farm where you can walk among the animals! We will also give you all the essential addresses for a gastronomic stay!

- EQUESTRIAN CENTER: 5 minutes from our gîte, in the town of Augignac, Les Ecuries du Clos Neuf will welcome you by appointment for an unforgettable equestrian experience!

- VISIT THE PERIGORD:
Typical villages and places are to be discovered for the richness of their heritage and the reputation of gastronomy!
- the Moulin de Lapeyre, a site where you can spend the afternoon discovering the trades of yesteryear, presented by artisan cutlers, blacksmiths and millers, open in July and August.
- the Grand Etang de Saint Estèphe (800 meters), a public site authorized for swimming (possibility of renting canoes and pedal boats). You will also find restaurants by the pond.
- the fortified town of Nontron (10mns), famous for centuries for its cutlery tradition, ideal for its shops, supermarkets and restaurants.
- the town of Piégut Pluviers (10 minutes) where a typical Périgord market is held every Wednesday morning, renowned throughout the north-Dordogne! You will also find very good shops and restaurants.
- Brantôme la Venise du Périgord (35 mns), famous for its canoe routes, its architecture and its abbey.
- Grotte de Villars (30mns): the guided tour will allow you to discover magnificent prehistoric paintings, impressive calcite flows and fine stalactites. Do not miss the entertainment in the prehistoric garden too!
- Sarlat (2 hours away): organize a day in Périgord Noir by discovering the real open-air museum that is the city of Sarlat! Take the opportunity to visit the other treasures of Périgord: La Roque-Gajeac, Montignac, Domme.
