Swimming-poolthe Gites de Montlouby are composed of a renovated farmhouse and a chalet with a capacity of 14 people each, totally independent of each other but which can be associated when the group is more important. Each has an outdoor room: for the farm it is a room in the trees, for the chalet, a log room on a tower "Dovecote Way". The ensemble is located in a hamlet (40 inhabitants) overlooking the beautiful valley of the Alagnon. According to some, it is a paradise for children who can safely enjoy the parks with their zip-line, their swing kiosk and the summer of the swimming pool totally secure (car with a height of 5.4 m in diameter on 1m high). According to others, it is a haven of peace for the larger ones who can enjoy the terraces (number of three), fountains, arbours to rest or share moments of conviviality around a large table. All around you can enjoy picturesque trails (Chemin de Santiago de Compostela) and at 1 km the site of Montlouby where you will have a panoramic view of the Planèze and the valley of Neussargues. This site is a site of departure of free flights (Delta and paragliding). You can enjoy horseback riding or cross-country skiing in Coltines village located 3 kms away. At 5 kms the train station of Neussargues which offers the winter ski package at very advantageous prices with train transport to the ski resort of Lioran.
The village of Mallet is located 15 km from Saint-flour medieval city and Murat, small town with its dikes, its virgin and the magnificent little Chapel of Bredn. At 25 km, in the small ski resort of Prat de bouc you can reach on foot or by mountain bike the lead of the Cantal. In Prat de Bouc you can admire many migratory birds in the right season. The region is rich in waterfalls, that of sailhat at 15 kms of Mallet which is located near the magnificent castle of Sailhat where you can relax with a quiet family in a cove at the foot of the castle. Those of the beautiful valley of Brezons will captivate you with their recent developments. At 20 km You can also go on the route of the Truyère and admire the dam of Garabit, the magnificent ruin of the castle of Alleuze where you can access without problem and which will allow you to have a magnificent view on the sinuosities of the Truyère. You can also enjoy the beach, the nautical base of Mallet de Garabit. If you continue you can see the dams of Granval, Sarrans, the pretty Bridge of Tréboul and arrive at the splendid peninsula of Laussac where you can relax in the shade or enjoy the sun on the beach.
Continuing beyond Murat, you can ride in the lead cable car of Cantal, make beautiful hikes on the ridges of the mountains of Auvergne (Puy Mary, Puy Griou...) Go stroll in the alleys of Salers.
In August, if the dates allow you will be able to attend the Grand Festival of World Folklore of Murat or of the no less famous street festival of Aurillac. Finally thanks to the A75 you can reach Clermont Ferrand or Vulcania.
Rentals can be done for the weekend, the week or more. The rates vary depending on the period, the number of people.
For a cottage (chalet or farm) up to 14 people: from 700 to 1350 euros for the week.
For the ensemble up to 28 people: 1400 to 2700 for the week.

"Super gîte à recommander sans souci !"
Nous avons loué ce gîte pour nous retrouver avec enfants et petits enfants.
Les petits enfants ont adoré tyrolienne, cabane dans les arbres, etc….. ils se sont éclatés !
Idéal pour se retrouver, le calme, la vue, une bonne literie, suffisamment d. espace à l. intérieur du gîte, il ne manque rien, tout pour passer un super séjour et même le temps annonce pluvieux nous a permis de profiter de belles balades et nous n. avons pas tout découvert……
Des propriétaires accueillants et toujours disponibles.

"Gîte agréable"
Environnement champêtre propice à des retrouvailles loin des pressions citadines, permettant isolement et activités sportives et culturelles collectives pour un large groupe d'amis. Chacune des 3 générations y a trouvé son plaisir. Gîte à recommander.

"Charmant, ludique et accueillant"
Nous avons passé une semaine dans les deux gîtes. Les nombreux espaces extérieurs proposés ont séduit petits et grands (de 5 à 75 ans). Tout y est original et authentique.

"Un gîte exceptionnel"
Nous avons passé un séjour mémorable dans ce lieu exceptionnel. Nous étions au total 26 personnes adultes, ados, enfants et bébés. Tout est fonctionnel et nous avons pu organiser une belle fête anniversaire. Daniel et Jo les propriétaires nous ont réservé un accueil très chaleureux. Ils étaient toujours disponibles et très discrets. Une belle rencontre. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir pour d'autres réunions familiales. C'est une adresse que nous mettons dans nos favoris. "Très heureux de notre séjour"
Nous avons réservé l'ensemble des gîtes de Montlouby pour un rassemblement familial. Nous avons été très chaleureusement accueillis dans un ensemble très original, par des propriétaires sympathiques. C'était un paradis pour les enfants et un grand bonheur pour tous. Un pot de confiture maison nous a fait très plaisir.

"Idéal pour réunion entre amis/famille"
Une semaine passée entre amis (6 adultes et 5 enfants). Les enfants ont adoré la tyrolienne jouxtant le chalet, les nombreuses balançoires, la piscine et, surtout, les animaux sur et autour du gîte qu'ils ont pu approché.
Le chalet est très spacieux et confortable, nous y avons trouvé tout le nécessaire pour notre séjour.
La situation du chalet permet de visiter de nombreux lieux aux alentours.
Nous avons fortement apprécié les balades conseillées autour du gîte par les propriétaires ainsi que les bonnes adresses à visiter.
