Welcome to our apartment in the town of Prades situated in the heart of the Conflent.

Our accommodation is a completely renovated 2 bedroom flat situated in the heart of town.
The first bedroom has a 140/190 bed and a wardrobe. The second also has a 140/190 bed, a storage column and a desk in case you have to work from home.
The fully equipped kitchen: oven, induction top, dishwasher, toaster, blender, small chopper, kettle, capsule coffee machine, pressure cooker...
At your disposal free wifi, a television, a DVD player, music speaker, board games as well as various books including a backpacker's guide to discover the region. The bathroom has an 80/80 shower, a towel dryer, a wash basin and a storage column with a hair dryer and a first aid kit. A washing machine is also available. We can provide you with everything you need for your children: travel cot, high chair, games, and books. We have a cellar if you need to store your bikes or skis etc.

It is very bright south facing apartment; the view overlooks the town’s market place and church. The large living room is also south facing bathing the apartment in light.
Close to all amenities, you will find within walking distance, a supermarket, banks, post office, bars, restaurants, tobacconist, bakeries and tourist office.
Parking: No fixed parking but places in front of the accommodation as well as several car parks including free parking within short walking distance.

We are situated in the town centre, opposite the church Saint-Pierre which treasures one of the largest Baroque altarpieces in France.

Every Tuesday morning throughout the year, the famous Prades market: it is one of the biggest local markets and it takes place literally in front of the apartment offering a wide choice from Gastronomy, clothing, gift ideas, local and regional products, etc.

Pablo Casals Festival of classical music, the film festival meetings or immerse yourself in the Catalan university.

Discover the ramparts of the medieval city of Villefranche de Conflent! You will be won over by the beauty of the site listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site under the Vauban network.
The Ramparts are full of secrets that you can discover during the self-guided tours. Also behind these huge walls is a cite full of life, with its many craft shops.

. Hiking enthusiasts: there are 6 nature reserves (Conat, Nyer, Nohedes, Py, Mantet and Jujols), not to mention the multitude of hiking routes in the heart of the Catalan Pyrenees.
Without forgetting our famous Canigou, emblem of the Pyrénées-Orientales and classified Grand Site of France in July 2012, and Grand Site Occitanie since 2017, the Canigó is an exceptional natural place conducive to hiking. Visible from Languedoc, Ariège and the province of Girona, it is also an identity symbol of the Pyrenean landscape.
Between hikes, walks with donkeys or the pleasure of nature, the Canigó massif is a unique place not to be missed, the real heart of the Catalan Country!

We are also lucky to have magnificent abbeys:
Located in the heart of the Canigou massif, on an eagle's nest, the former Benedictine abbey of Saint-Martin-du-Canigou has discreetly overlooked the Cady valley since the 11th century and invites you to discover its unique site. The Lombard bell tower, the marble capitals, the abbey church and the vaulted crypt make it a jewel of the first regional Romanesque art. An essential part of the Romanesque heritage of Conflent, the Abbey of Saint-Martin-du-Canigou will be an opportunity to take a walk in the heart of exceptional nature.
In a valley in the heart of Romanesque Conflent and at the foot of Canigo, the Abbey of Saint-Michel is an exceptional architectural ensemble (10th - 12th centuries) with its basilica, one of the largest and most significant pre-Romanesque churches in Europe, its Lombard Romanesque bell tower, its crypt and its Romanesque cloister. It has been the home of Benedictine monks since 878.

For those who prefer aquatic activities you have the Aquagliss in the neighbouring town of Vinça suitable for the whole family. The more adventurist types might appreciate Aqua branch or canyoning in the Canigou gorges and elsewhere.

To relax, come and enjoy the natural hot water baths of Saint Thomas. These exceptional thermal waters have analgesic, relaxing, anti-allergic and healing properties. Three outdoor pools with Jacuzzi, waterfalls, massage jets, a real treat for families, couples or friends.
