Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort, the highest five star resort in the middle east on the curving rim of a great canyon, is a secluded haven for the intrepid and discerning. 21 km from Nizwa, the resort features panoramic views from the cliff-edge infinity pool. Guests can enjoy free WiFi throughout the property.

A total of 115 luxury rooms and villas overlook either the dramatic canyon or tranquil gardens and a spa-like bathroom complete with a rain shower. Luxury villas grant guests an intimate escape each with personal villa host services and a private infinity pool overlooking the cliffs or hidden in an exotic garden. Each villa features state-of-the-art interactive LED IPTVs and spacious walk-in dressing areas, all adding to a sense of sublime luxury.

A selection of six dining venues to choose from, Al Qalaa a fine dining Arabian grill concept, Bella Vista a Roman inspired restaurant overlooking the grand canyon, Al Maisan all day dining serving world classics and cooking classes or Al Baha the café deli situated in the open air courtyard. Celebrate on Diana’s Point platform with a unique private dining experience overlooking the canyons.

A cliff-edge infinity pool, 2 hot tubs, children’s pool, state-of-the-art Fitness Centre and tennis court are available to enjoy. The Anantara Spa harnesses the essence of Arabia complete with a Hammam and private outdoor relaxation areas and separate male and female indoor swimming pools. The kids’ and teens’ club offers fun-filled activities for all ages.

The resort presents travelers with authentic experiences, allowing them to explore the nearby culture, history and landscape. Activities include Via Ferrata, hiking, cultural tours, abseiling, mountain climbing, archery and mountain biking.

The property is accessible only by 4x4 (4-wheel drive) vehicles two hours from Muscat International Airport or four and half hours from Dubai – past date plantations, dry riverbeds known locally as wadis, and historical forts. Luxury transfers can be arranged on request.

Pets are not allowed in the establishment.
Children of all ages are welcome.
Children from 6 to 11 years old stay for 15 € per person per night when sleeping in an available extra bed.
Persons 12 years and over stay for 30 € per person per night when sleeping in an available extra bed.
Children up to 2 years old (inclusive) stay free when sleeping in an available crib.
Extra beds or baby cots are only available upon request and need to be confirmed by the property.
Supplements are not automatically calculated in the total amount of the reservation on the site and must be paid separately directly with the establishment.

Cards accepted for booking
Please note that in order to access the resort, guests will need a 4x4 (4-wheel drive) vehicle to pass by the checkpoint for Al Jabal Al Akhdar. Guest must also bring their driver's licence and car registration papers. If you require transfers, 72 hours advance booking is required.

Please note that there will be compulsory New Years Eve Gala Dinner supplements of OMR 170 per adult and OMR 85 per child for the stays over 31 December.

Please note during Ramadan period alcohol will be served only in Bella Vista from 19:00pm to 23:45pm (indoor only). First two days of Eid holidays will be dry days and alcohol will not be served.

Please note, that there is a compulsory Christmas Eve Dinner on the 24 December, available for all resort guests booked over this date. Price starting from OMR 44 per adult, children aged 5 - 11 years will be charged from OMR 22 per child.
