Port Vauban

The port of Camaret is located between the Pointe du Grand Gouin and the Pointe Sainte-Barbe. Access to the port is safe. The pontoons of the marina is protected by the dyke of the Furrow, the pier and the north wind-chop which prolongs it. Port officials have had the good sense to distinguish the port of Notice ("little beach" in Breton) in front of the harbor, the port Styvel ("source" in Breton) near the sulcus and the Port Vauban outside , thus respecting the names camarétoise.
Port Vauban, or "port on the edge", can accommodate ships of larger tonnage of the port or the port of Notic Styvel.
