Lighthouse Pontusval stands on the tip of Beg-Pol, common Brignogan-Plage. Its construction was decided after many shipwrecks on the coast, and was completed in June 1869. The first firing took place September 15, 1869.
The lighthouse serves as a relay between the Virgin Island lighthouse and the lighthouse on the island of Batz.
Fifty-two steps lead to the summit.
