Chassiron Lighthouse, perched on a rocky cliff, is located at the north end of the island of Oleron, near the town of Saint-Denis d'Oléron. Lighthouse allows sailors to return to the waters of Perth Antioch, place strewn with reefs and famous for its many shipwrecks.
Chassiron Lighthouse is open 7 days 7, 365 days a year:
• 1 July to 31 August from 10:00 to 8:00 p.m..
• April 1-September 30 10:00 to 12:15 and 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
• October 1 to March 31 0:00 to 12:15 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The fare is € 2.50 (adult fare) - 10 minutes to climb the 224 steps of the spiral staircase and see a magnificent panorama of the island of Ré, off the coast of La Rochelle and the entire northern Island of Oleron.
