Created in the first century AD, the Roman city of Aregenua, capital of the people of Viducasses, was prosperous for two centuries before becoming a small village. A research program began in 1988. The first site explored is a rich house (domus) located near the Baths of the Gallo-Roman town. This building of 1500 m2 has at its center a garden peristyle. Contrary to the remains suggest, this house was richly decorated.
