The collections of archery trace the evolution of the arc (from prehistory to the present). It also bows to hunt all over the world (Europe, Africa, Oceania, Asia, America ...). The traditions of archery, deeply rooted in the Valois, are explained through the reconstruction of various traditional festivals and exhibition of "unusual" (Provincial Bouquets vases, flags of the Companies, maps and target ...). The hall San Sebastian offers a transition from archery and sacred art. It is entirely dedicated to the representation of the patron saint of archers. The collections of sacred art in the Museum since 1973, are the result of an original backup and protection of religious heritage of the churches in the cantons of Crépy-en-Valois, and Betz Nanteuil-le-Honore. The 150 statues grouped together, remain the property of the municipalities concerned, form a vast panorama of wooden sculpture from the thirteenth to the nineteenth century. Visitors will learn through this extraordinary collection, the lives of the saints and also the popular belief these statues halo (patron saints, saints of business corporations).
