The museum owes its existence to Albert and Felicia Demard helped by following their son Jean-Christophe. Ethnographic museum mainly devoted to peasant society for years 1880-1915, it also addresses the Enlightenment, with some rooms evoking the presence of the family De Toulongeon, owners of the castle until 1825.
