The transition from Gois and Goa is a submersible floor located in the Bay of Bourgneuf linking the island of Noirmoutier (common Barbâtre) to the mainland (commune de Beauvoir-sur-Mer) in the department of Vendée in France. It is passable by car during low-water and is flooded twice a day at high tide. There are other such sites, but the uniqueness of Gois is its exceptional length: 4.5 km. The height of water at high tide covers the range from 1.30 meters to 4 meters, depending on the coefficient of the tide.
Since 1971, the bridge connecting the island of Noirmoutier to the mainland is an alternative to Gois.
