Château du Rivau - Château de la Loire

The castle was fortified Rivau and humanized in the fifteenth century to the Renaissance. This castle in Touraine is both an impregnable fortress and a place to live.

Since 1992, the new owners have established a major renovation campaign to prevent the castle ruins, barns and stables and restore it to its glory of yesteryear. Today Rivau Historical Monument attracts visitors for its history but also for the wonderful gardens of fairy tales.

The gardens of the chateau Rivau delight botanists as the collection of over 300 roses obtained by breeders such as David Austin and Andrew Eve and rare plants in an atmosphere still very contemporary with the sculptures and art exhibitions alive.
