Château des Allymes

The castle is one of Allymes military fortress of the thirteenth century, rebuilt in the sixteenth century, situated in the town of Ambérieu en Bugey, built by the Dauphin of Vienna in order to protect the population of raids that ravaged the country.
This is the only copy of a medieval fortress of Bugey and offers a unique perspective.
It dominates the plain of the Ain some 800 meters south-west of Mount Luisandre which rises to 805 meters.
It dominates the town of Bugey in Ambérieu that acquired in 1984.
It is accessed through the hamlet of Brey wind.

The castle of Allymes been a classification as historical monuments since July 20, 1960.
The strong House of Saint-Germain said Tower Gy been an entry in the inventory of historical monuments since 1984.
