Vadancourt is a castle of the nineteenth century, rebuilt in 1927. It is located in a park on the village, bathed in the river Omignon.

Guy Felix Pardieu, Earl, Lord of Vadancourt, Bray Saint Kitts and Bracheux was part of the list of the States General of 1789, while the city of Saint-Quentin was represented by Father Marolles.

The original castle was built overlooking the river, causing it included a terrace with an impressive staircase balusters. It consisted of a high pavilion of three levels with balconies overlooking the park, and rear wing connecting the house. This presented a preliminary core set of one span, with an arched door on the ground floor, a balcony overlooking the first floor window, all topped by an attic crowned by a curved pediment pierced by an oculus.

In 1917 during the First World War, dilapidated, subject to the German bombing, it was destroyed.

At that time, the Z.A.B. (Zivilarbeiterbataillons), detachment of civilian workers, were created around November 1916 as a result of the stubborn refusal of the workers called. The castle, requisitioned, was the site of the 1st Co. of ZAB 24, and 500 prisoners were locked in recalcitrant ruined castle, under the command of Lt. Wetzel.

The region has suffered enormous damage, because the village has witnessed the greatest fights, and remembers the bravery of the English.

New Castle, respecting the original architecture, was rebuilt on its site in 1927.
