In its construction to 1723, the castle consisted of a large main building flanked by two side pavilions with roofs slightly raised. In the center was an embryo slightly projecting pavilion topped by a triangular pediment, which did not exceed the height of the windows of the main building. It was connected to the service buildings.

During the renovation of the castle after the French Revolution, the castle is separated from the common, central and eastern houses are built of granite pilasters of blue-gray Lanhélin and the central pavilion is topped with a new facade of white stone which is engraved the family coat of arms of Caradeuc joined to that of Martel (wife of Raoul Caradeuc Chalotais) and the currency of Caradeuc "Arrest your heart." The entrance porch was built, but the pavilion is left Western in good condition.

The current architecture of the castle dates from the late nineteenth century. Under the direction of the architect Mellet, the roofs of houses are enhanced - the west pavilion has now been removed - to make them look at the Mansart, the white stone windows are replaced with new granite Kérinan . The old columns of the peristyle are removed and is currently composed of two pairs of twin columns topped by a stone balustrade. On the north side, an imposing double staircase leading to two terraces equipped with railings running along the main building.
