THE SPA RESORT:

Located on the edge of the forest, a hundred kilometres from Mont Saint-Michel, the landing beaches, the bell foundry of Villedieu-les-Poêles…

Cradle of legends: the one of Saint-Ortaire (chapel) who won the dragon on the Roc au chien that overlooks the thermal baths, that of the waters of the thermal spring invigorating the old horse of the Lord of Tessé, then his master and that of King Arthur in the footsteps of Lancelot du Lac…

The Belle Epoque has left large bourgeois villas, neo-regionalist style of the coast, but Art Deco is not outdone with the casino and the church Saint-Jean-Baptiste.

THE "RESIDENCE DU LAC":

Former Grand Hotel built at the end of the 19th century, it stands in front of the lake and its casino, in the city centre, 400m from the Spa and on the edge of the forest.

Supermarket, bakery and bus stop in front of the building; Saturday market a few hundred meters away; supermarket 1 kilometer away.

THE STUDIO:

Located on the 4th floor with lift, stunning lake views, south-west view.

Separate entrance/kitchen (sink, fridge, 2 electric plates, mini oven, microwave, washing machine 4kg, hair dryer, iron and ironing table, vacuum cleaner); living room (2 cupboards, twin beds, small leather armchair, cherry tree dresser, round flap cherry table, 3 chairs, stool, nightstand and TV); bathroom (shower, corner sink and toilet). Double glazing window. Inertia electric heater.

THE RENTAL:

3 weeks (arrival on Sunday and departure on Saturday morning), during the week or at the weekend. Special requests according to agreement with the owner.

THE PLEASURES OF LIFE:

Walks in the forest, around the lake and the thermal baths, Nordic walking, arboretum of the castle (town hall), golf, Percherons shows, bicycle-rail, carriages, guided walking tours of the historic districts, fireworks on the lake seen from the front row, swimming pool, tennis, petanque, pedal boats, archery, bridge/chess, billiards, cinema, exhibitions/conferences, flea markets, water sports, acrobatic routes in trees, street entertainment, etc.

Restaurants, traditional local products (calvados and its derivatives), mycological walks in the forest…

The surrounding area: museums, Romanesque church and remains of the immense dungeon of Domfront Castle (casemates), private castle of Lassay-les-Châteaux, (8 horseshoe towers), the tower of Bonvouloir…

THE THERMAL BATHS:

in addition to medical spa treatments, the spa organizes short-term fitness stays.
