To visit the Pirate, arriving from Rochefort, exit at the first exit after the Viaduc de Martrou towards Échillais, then at the next 4 roundabouts take the direction of Trizay.

You cross the village of Montherault, the beautiful Romanesque church is on your left, you turn right just before the village exit sign then (let yourself be guided by the orange "PIRATE" signs) twice right.

(Crossing the viaduct, when you are at the highest, looking towards the sea and squinting you will see Fort Boyard on a clear and clear day.
NB: the driver is asked to watch the road, he/she will see Father Fouras another time!)

To come and greet the Pirate coming from Bordeaux, we advise you to leave the motorway at Saintes and take the direction of Rochefort by the RN137. You cross the village of Beurlay (by the way you can take the opportunity to discover the delicious galettes of the same name!). After leaving Beurlay (so with your galettes!) you turn left 900m after leaving the village towards Trizay-Échillais. Then follow direction Échillais. You enter Montherault and turn left just after the village entrance sign. Let yourself be guided by the orange "PIRATE" signs (twice on the right)

The Pirate is waiting for you at number 2, at the end of the little cul-de-sac (the Pirate being very touchy, please come and greet him! If he learns of your arrival in Charente-Maritime without coming to see him, he will be grumpy for a week!)
