The gite is on 3 levels. The main entrance opens into a large lounge/dining room/kitchen with a separate shower room/WC. On the first floor a landing gives access to 2 bedrooms and a bathroom with basin and WC. One of the bedrooms has a double bed and the other can accommodate four people with a king size double and two singles. In the basement is a games room with french doors opening onto a patio and a large grassed area bordered by a stream. English and French TV available in lounge. WiFi throughout.
A short walk away is the village of Fontenay with its bar/shop/restaurant. The restaurant opens at lunchtimes only.
This rural gite is in the heart of the countryside and ideally placed for exploring numerous places of interest. Please see details of places to visit on the French version of this website. (A folder with lots of tourist information is available in the gite).

"Happy Traveller"
Muriel and Alec made us very welcome. Their Gite is perfect, comfortable and has everything you need to cook a full meal (should you choose to). It is in a great area for sightseeing.

"Beautiful Gite with great hosts"
We stayed for 2 nights at the start of a trip through France and Spain. A unique location with much historical relevance and beauty. The Gite is very well equipped and comfortable. Lovely garden with stream running through. Great play room with pool and football table. Thank you Alec & Muriel for making our short visit so pleasant

"Très agréable séjour au moulin"
A lovely week spent in this cottage, ideally located to explore the region. It is perfectly equipped and Muriel and Alec took great care to welcome us. The games room was very popular with both young and old. We recommend it with our eyes closed.

"Superbe séjour"
A cozy cottage, very well equipped and clean. The living room with the wood stove is so nice, the games room downstairs is great. The bedding is good, the setting with the horses, the calm of the countryside, the beautiful land that we have. The owners are very kind and available.

"A gem in rural Normandy"
We were made very welcome by our hosts. The accommodation is very well kept, spacious and well equipped. The games room is a real bonus for all age groups. We enjoyed cycling in the area, there are interesting places to visit nearby and there is a great little shop and cafe just up the road. We wished we had stayed longer - we will definitely visit again.

"Authentique et chaleureux"
Very nice cottage, very functional and authentic layout. The rooms are very spacious, with plenty of storage. The games area in the basement is ideal for young and old! We had a great time relaxing and laughing with our youngsters thanks to the many games available. The garden at the back is great, quiet. The owners are very welcoming and available. Thanks again for everything!
