The small hamlet of Esparoutis is located in a corner of the unspoilt valley of the river Ceou. Originally built around the 18th century, "Les Paroules" in Esparoutis is a collection of 3 old stone houses, barns and timber and again in 2020 to transform the old honey -coloured stone farm houses typical of the region into a modern retreat for those looking for a peaceful location in the French countryside.

In the centre is 'La Maison', built in 1729 in 1797, an old farmhouse with an adjoining stone barn, an open plan lounge in kitchen of great country cooks, stone floors and cathedral ceilings.
Le Gîte, was built in 1861, is located at the rear of the property. It is a village house with many original features in rustic charm.
The Sechoir built in the beginning of the 20th century is at the entrance of the property and is an old walnut wood dryer that
has been completely renovated in a rustic and cozy chalet style from local wood. Each house has a sunny courtyard or private terraces and gardens overlooking the meadows and the valley. There is a secure garden and swimming pool, sun beds, tables and chairs for dining and a barbecue. Comfortable accommodation for a person, a couple or a small family. Esparoutis is ideally located to be at the centre of all the activities and beautiful sights of the Dordogne. Less than 5 minutes away are from castles of Beynac and Castelnaud, from beautiful topiary gardens of Marqueyssac, the medieval mountain village of Domme and the river village of La Roc Gageac. The prehistoric caves of Lascaux and Rouffignac and the fortified market towns of Montpazier are 30 minutes away by car. The historic town of Sarlat, the best restored medieval town in France, with its famous Saturday gourmet markets is only 12 km away.
The property is located on a popular 35 km cycle path between the village of Daglan and Castelnaud. The village of Saint Cybranet is just a few minutes walk or by bike (700 m). There is an organic supermarket here that offers fresh bread and other organic foods. Castelnaud-la-Chapelle (Castlenaud) is an excellent walking or cycling tour of 2.5 km along a flat cycle path and through the walnut trees on the banks of the Céou. Here you will find your daily needs, a special bakery / pastry shop, a butcher shop, a small simple supermarket in a news agency, a post office, an ATM, a hairdresser, a pizza, a cafe and a restaurant. Nice picnic, spot, swimming and canoe rental are on the Dordogne are only 2.5 km away at the Castelnaud bridge.
