Each gîte is part of a beautiful collection of traditional farm buildings, with a shared swimming pool. Each has a lounge with sofa, dining table, chairs and television (French and English channels).
Barbecue, table and chairs on the patio for outside dining. Views of Roque Saint Christophe. A fully equipped kitchen with electric oven, 4 gas rings, fridge, microwave and utensils. Freezer available. Washing machine available.
French and English satellite television.
Ceiling fans in the bedroom and living room.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare your meals. Electric fan oven, 4 ring hob, fridge, microwave etc. There is a large freezer shared by all the gites.
Access to the communal swimming pool from the Grenier a Foin is via a small path. From the Terrasse de la Roque, access to the communal swimming pool is via the wooden terrace at the front of the gîte and from the Comptoir des Noix, it is directly via the bedroom door, where there is also a ramp.
Each cottage has its own outdoor dining area with a barbecue.
The Manoir des Granges is located in the village of Moustier, near the famous medieval town of Sarlat la Canéda.
Almost bordering the Vézère river, it faces this important French heritage site that is Roque Saint-Christophe.
Its caves were occupied by cave dwellers about 55,000 years ago. Later, during the Middle Ages and up to the Renaissance period, it gradually transformed into a fortress and protected city.

We use an all-inclusive price. This means that the amount you pay includes made beds, bathrooms
with towels and kitchen linen. Also included are the tourist tax and the cleaning costs.
The reservation becomes effective upon receipt of the deposit, equivalent to 30% of the rental amount, non-refundable. Due to the problems associated with the Covid-19 pandemic, deposits will be refunded or transferable to later dates in the event of governmental lockdown in your own country or in France. Most travel insurances now make provision for the pandemic, so we encourage you to take out travel insurance.
The remaining amount is payable ten weeks before you take possession of the property.

Directions are as follows:
If you are driving from Calais you may wish to think about coming via Rouen on the A28 from Calais then to Evreux, Chartres, Orleans, Chateauroux, Limoges, Brive. Then take the A89 payage signposted Perigueux and take the Thenon exit. Pick up the D704 to Montignac. Take the D706 signposted Les Eyzies (NB: you will find Intermarche on your left after you leave Montignac, this is the nearest supermarket to our property) and follow the road for approx. 10 kms. You will go through the village of Thonac; after a few kilometres you will pass the turning for the village of St Leon sur Vezere. After another 3 kilometres you will pass a campsite called Le Paradis on your left. Approximately 2 kms after Le Paradis you will see a house with a white fence on your right – Le Manoir des Granges is just after this house on the right, directly opposite La Roque Saint-Christophe and just before the village of Le Moustier. The main house has blue shutters and a slate roof.
The alternative route from Calais would be to go around the Paris Peripherique – be aware that this road can be very busy at normal rush hour times and can take approx. an hour to navigate when busy. If you find yourself on the peripherique outside rush hour times then it could be as quick as 30minutes!
If you are arriving at Bergerac Airport. (These directions take you away from the main route which during the height of the Summer can become too busy). At the end of the airport road turn right. At the roundabout take first right. At the next roundabout take the second exit signposted St. Alvere. At the next roundabout take the 3rd exit then take the first sharp right off the little roundabout, this is the D32, keep following signs for St. Alvere. After approximately 20 kms you will go through St. Alvere. After a further 12 kms you will come to a crossroads, carry straight on. A further 10 kms you will pass under a viaduct and you will come to a T junction, turn left. Take the first right signposted Rouffignac. At Rouffignac you will reach a T junction opposite a supermarket Carrefour, turn left. At the next roundabout turn right signposted Plazac. Follow the road through Plazac and you will eventually enter the village of Le Moustier. After the Church, on your right, you will come to a T junction. Turn left, signposted Montignac. Le Manoir des Granges is situated approx. 300 metres on your left after the cemetery which is on your right. The house has blue shutters and a slate roof. (There is another house closer to the village which looks similar, please ignore this one!).

Turn left, signposted Montignac.. Le Manoir des Granges is situated approx. 300 metres on your left after the cemetery which is on your right. The house has blue shutters and a slate roof. (There is another house closer to the village which looks similar, please ignore this one!).
The house and gites will be ready from 4pm, we will be there to greet you on arrival. Please give us an indication of your expected arrival time so that we know if you may be arriving late.
The properties should be vacated by 10am on the day of departure in order for us to prepare them for the next guests.
The nearest supermarket is in Montignac (Intermarche) which closes at 7pm on Saturday. It is open all day every day except Sunday when it is open until 12noon during the Summer.
We provide all linen and bath towels but please ensure you bring towels for the pool/outside use.
