Peacefully situated at the foot of the hill, 800m from the heart of the picturesque village of Fontevraud-l'Abbaye.
Heritage Side: the Royal Abbey of Fontevraud classified by UNESCO and the many castles of the Loire nearby enchant you.
For your viewing pleasure, the Loire and the Vienne 4 km flirt with Candes Saint-Martin and Montsoreau, labeled "Most beautiful villages in France".
To the delight of young and old, the marked trails of the Loire by bike, the golf Saint-Hilaire in Roiffé and Center Parcs 4 km from the house, waiting for you.
To combine business with pleasure numerous wineries open their doors in the appellations of Chinon, Champigny, Saumur, Bourgueil and Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil to name a few.
You can count on me to inform you about the treasures of unusual Fontevraud.

Séjour super agréable avec notre hôte discrète à souhait !
Tout y était. La maison très agréable et son jardin bucolique. La documentation sur la région bien fournie.
La tranquillité assurée...
Rien à redire.
De plus la maison est bien située par rapport aux visites des châteaux où nous avions peu de kilomètres entre chaque visite ce qui est tout de même un plus.
Nous gardons précieusement cette adresse et ne manquerons d'y revenir !

"Excellent"
We spent a very pleasant two weeks in this little house, on the edge of the village, about 15 minutes on foot to the centre.
The garden is completely private and has plenty of tables and chairs. It's like your French friend has lent you her house (where everything works perfectly!), and Mme Gallé was kindness itself. The beds are both (only) 1m40 wide but, despite being used to something much bigger, we didn't find that a problem.
The doorway to the bedroom leading from the kitchen (which is well-equipped: you just have to hunt or ask!) is low (I hit my head a few times, but I'm 1m83) and the wifi is feeble or non-existent apart from in that bedroom; those are the only things to be aware of in case they are significant to you.
10/10 for everything but the wifi.
