A small village separated from its neighbors by a few kilometers of fields and identifiable at the top of its bell tower.
In these hilly fields, sometimes surrounded by hedges, cows and apple trees.

Other fields devoted to more intensive and diversified production weave a patchwork that changes with the seasons.

Deep roads link climbs and descents and attract cyclists (the "Little Switzerland" of the North I read on a publication written by a communication officer who does not really have a sense of understatement), especially those from Paris → Roubaix which pass through Solesmes.

For walkers, many paths are marked; one of them passes a hundred meters from the gîte, in front of the Dreum brewery.

One more thing, which does not come to mind spontaneously because it only appears at nightfall, a wealth that the wealthiest of city dwellers can no longer afford: the stars.
